Cynthia Chen

Senior Intern, Administrative Assistant & Communications Team

Cynthia Chen is a student at Binghamton University, double-majoring in Sociology and Asian American Studies with a minor in History. She joined the Upstate New York Policing Research Consortium (UNY-PRC) in Fall 2024, where she examined false-positive convictions through the 2019 Harring Street Raid case study. She currently serves as the Administrative Intern on the Communications Team, supporting internal coordination and public outreach efforts. Outside of UNY-PRC, she conducts research on urban segregation and the long-term impact on social outcomes. She hopes to utilize research as a tool for informing policy and advancing equity within historically marginalized communities.
