Ty Thomas is a political scientist who focuses on the justice system and community relations. She has worked as an Oral history researcher focusing on police violence against black women in Rochester and continues to work as an UNY-PRC intern. She graduated from Alfred University in 2025 with a major in Political Science and a minor in Public Law.
