Cynthia Chen

Cynthia Chen is a second-year undergraduate at Binghamton University, double majoring in Sociology and Asian-Asian American Studies with a History minor. A McNair Scholar, she conducts advanced research on systemic inequality. She interns at the Upstate New York Policing Research Consortium, focusing on false-positive drug convictions. Her past work includes studies on housing discrimination and public health disparities among Asian diasporic communities. Cynthia plans to pursue a master’s in public administration and a Ph.D. in social policy. Passionate about bridging research and advocacy, she enjoys museums, bookstore hopping, photography, playing the flute, and matcha lattes.
