Juan Vargas is a first-generation college student and aspiring financial professional with over seven years of experience in the restaurant industry, where he advanced to supervisor. He currently serves as a research assistant for the Upstate New York Policing Research Consortium, where he conducts in-depth case analysis to uncover wrongful convictions, synthesizing findings from extensive article reviews into concise, evidence-based reports that inform policy discussions on justice reform. As a National HSF Finalist, he demonstrates a strong blend of real-world experience, academic excellence, and a collaborative spirit in every role he takes on.
