Writing is Hard.
Don’t do it alone.
UNY-PRC Writing Workshop
Once a month, Upstate New York Policing Research Consortium (UNY-PRC) hosts a writing workshop. An article or chapter-length draft is circulated a week prior to the Zoom meeting. The workshop begins with a 10-15 minute presentation from the author who outlines the key ideas of the paper and poses questions for feedback and discussion about the work. Workshops are 90 minutes and open to writers of all backgrounds and all levels who are interested in policing, carceral studies, liberation, and related fields.
UNY-PRC strengthens the impact of research and writing by collaborating across lines of experience and expertise.
We are writers from a variety of backgrounds who write about policing, carceral systems, and liberation in Upstate New York and beyond. We welcome you.
