Sarah Shapiro is a rising senior at the University of Connecticut, double majoring in Human Rights and Political Science on a Pre-Law track. She is passionate about Prison Reform as well as criminal justice reform, and hopes to help inform the public about these injustices and create change. Her work at UNY-PRC focuses on women who have been Wrongfully Convicted in the justice system and data collection of exonerees. Working in wrongful conviction research has been a dream project for Sarah to be able to contribute to, and she is enthusiastic to continue with this work!
